Special Populations Training
If you are pregnant or have been diagnosed as overweight or obese, have had a stroke, are recovering from heart surgery or other health conditions, you can schedule an appointment to start an exercise program. Your health insurance might cover the cost of the services. Written physician approval is required prior to starting an exercise program if you have the following: neuromuscular disorder, musculoskeletal conditions or neoplastic, immunologic, and hematologic conditions. Cycling Training $360 for 3 month program Working with Coach Susan, you can start a new hobby, enhance your current fitness or challenge yourself in a sport you have never done. If you want to race in endurance events, you will get scientific advice on how to get the most out of your training sessions, how to increase strength, what food to eat outside and during competition. Or you might just want to have a personal goal such as riding 50 miles for the first time. The goal can be as fulfilling as learning how to ride your bike to work. Susan has competed in ultra distance cycling for over 10 years among other races she set the record for Furnace Creek 508 fixed geared bike competition category. Outdoor Classes, Running and Strength Training
Look for FREE classes where you can share with others the difficulties of exercising, when you do it with a friend, it is easier to help your friend. Part of the fun of exercise is to share it with others. when you have a workout buddy it makes it easier for you to go for a run, a hike, a bike ride. As a track and field and cross country runner, Coach Susan excelled during her years in college as a runner. She also trained a high school team in California for track and field. If you want to compete or just run for health, you will get over 20 years of coaching experience.

Health and Wellness Coaching provides the opportunity for you to work on areas that are most difficult with adherence and motivation. A daily reminder of your exercise and goals for the week, keeping track of your daily routine will help you carve out just the kind of life you want to live. A coach will help you prioritize your goals and create a plan that will bring you health and happiness.
What are your goals?
Using simple steps to create your plan according to a healthy and well balanced diet. The plan includes assistance with meal planning, recipes and cooking suggestions, along with suggestions for overcoming obstacles. When appropriate, the Nutrition Coach makes referrals to adjunct services such as medical screenings and registered dietitians. The Nutrition Coach also provides ongoing follow-up, coaching and encouragement to increase your success.
Are you having difficulty concentrating at work? Is the stress at home difficult to overcome? We can help you with stress resolution, a Counselor from our network will help you complete a Stress Evaluation designed to identify both apparent and underlying sources of stress. The Counselor will build an individual Stress Plan, which serves as a long- term guide to managing stress. The therapeutic approach is customized based on your stress. Resources include telephonic counseling/coaching, e-mail follow-ups and helpful literature. If you have severe symptoms, the Counselor makes a referral to local providers.
The health appraisal establishes a base line of your health & fitness status. This comprehensive evaluation includes:

- Height, weight & body max index (BMI)
- Body fat & circumference measurements
- Walk test to predict your V02max (Not a maximal effort test)
- Flexibility of shoulders, lumbar spine & hamstrings
Physical Alignment and Movement Assessment using the Egoscue Method
This assessment helps to discover inflexibility, muscle weaknesses and imbalance in your body. Before starting any exercise, knowing this will help us develop a stretch and strengthen strategy that will keep you improve your mobility. It will also point out areas of weakness to help you cope with mobility issues as well as make the proper choices of movement and intensity. Using the work by Peter Egoscue, I will provide daily e-cises you can practice at home or at work in 5 to 20 minute increments.
